Today, President Biden said that Russia’s brutality has strengthened the U.S. resolve to aid Ukraine as he met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Oval Office of the White House. Rutte credited the United States for its leadership and said “we can never accept that Putin and Russia get away with this.” The two leaders were also expected to talk about economic policy regarding China.
Later, the Golden State Warriors, the 2022 NBA champions, visited the White House. The team was there for the first time since Barack Obama’s presidency despite having twice won the title during President Donald Trump’s tenure. One year, Trump rescinded an invitation. Another, the team chose to focus on community service instead.
