The Beverly Theatre Guild (BTG) will present “Make ’Em Laugh” on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m., at the Morgan Park Academy Arts Center, 2153 W. 111th St.
“Make ’Em Laugh” is a PG-13 rated, fun-filled production that will showcase local performers and their comedic talents.
The emcees for this cabaret-style show will be Barrel of Laughs’ Bill Brady for the Friday and Sunday shows and Dave Nolan for the Saturday show.
Some favorite comedy songs and throwback skits from classic shows, as well as humorous tunes and hilarious sketches from the modern era, will combine to keep audience members laughing throughout the show.
This production was conceived by BTG members Katie Regalado and Matthew Walsh, with Regalado as producer. The artistic staff includes co-directors Tom Fagan and Susan Kosvick Andrews, with music direction by Sharon Mason.
The non-stop entertainment will include the comical talents of Aron Arellano, Henry Clifford, Gina Dicksen, Sterlin Johnson, Jen Lenihan, Austin Lutvi, Gina Lutvi, Sheilah O’Grady, Leanne Palmer, Brian Reed, Jim Seeberg, John Stage and Julie Zebleckis.
Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door, and include an appetizer buffet, dessert and refreshments.
