Want to learn more about river functions, conditions that contribute to a healthy river, and adaptive river management? The Trinity River Restoration Program and Trinity County Resource Conservation District invite the public to attend an informative and free float on the Trinity River to be held on Saturday, July 30. Space is limited to 38 participants and preference is given to those who have never participated in the Trinity River Public Float before. Contact Amelia Fleitz (afleitz@tcrcd.net) to register by July 20.

The float will cover a stretch of the Trinity River in Douglas City with several stops along the way. Lunch will be provided mid-day.

They encourage new participants to sign up to learn more about the river. Families are welcome. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be able to walk over uneven ground at some sites and enter and exit a raft in shallow water. The trip will begin at 9 a.m. and end around 2:30 p.m.

This event is hosted by Trinity River Restoration Program, Trinity County Resource Conservation District, and guided by Trinity River Rafting.
