The New Orleans Pelicans have been one of the league’s hottest teams over their last six games, with five wins during that stretch. Their last two victories have been among their biggest of the season, including a 45-point win against Golden State on Monday behind a 34-point performance from Brandon Ingram. The Pelicans visit a beat-up Memphis Grizzlies team on Friday, so should you be looking for more big-time offensive showings from New Orleans in your NBA DFS lineups?

Pels center Jonas Valanciunas scored 22 points with 10 rebounds on Wednesday against San Antonio, which included a surprising 4-for-5 night from beyond the three-point line. Another player that could provide value in the NBA DFS player pool on Friday is guard Devonte’ Graham, who has scored 40 points over his last two games off the bench. Before you make your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with over $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

On Wednesday, he highlighted Nuggets center Nikola Jokic as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Jokic scored 39 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists against the Thunder to return 65 points on DraftKings and 60.5 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to NBA action on Friday and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, November 25

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Warriors superstar Steph Curry who is listed at $10,600 on DraftKings and $10,400 on FanDuel. After getting a day off to rest in the second game of a back-to-back against New Orleans, Curry came back to score 22 points with nine assists and six rebounds against the Clippers on Wednesday. Over his last five starts, he averaged 29 points with nine assists, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Curry is always a heat-check player from downtown, but over those last five games, he made 47.3% of his three-point attempts. On Friday, he returns to action at home against Utah, which has lost its last two games and allowed opponents to hit 3Ps at the seventh-highest rate in the NBA over its last three (37.8%). In home games this season, Curry has hit 53.5% of his shots and 46.6% of his three-pointers.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Pelicans point guard Jose Alvarado ($3,800 on DraftKings and $4,700 on FanDuel). With CJ McCollum (health and safety protocols) unavailable on Friday, Graham and Alvarado will need to pick up more of the slack in the New Orleans backcourt. Although he had a quiet night against the Spurs in his last start, Alvarado was effective in two other starts earlier this season.

In games against Dallas and Phoenix on October 25 and 28, respectively, Alvarado logged 27 total points to go with six assists, three steals and four rebounds. Memphis has struggled to defend opposing PGs this season and ranks among the bottom 10 in NBA DFS points allowed to the position on both DraftKings and FanDuel. De’Aaron Fox lit up the Grizz in their last game with 32 points, eight boards, six assists and four steals, so you can see why McClure is high on Alvarado for Friday.
