Many were surprised when the Raiders cut Kenyan Drake, but that transaction showed the faith the team has in its other running backs. Fourth-round rookie Zamir White has impressed both on the field and in NFL DFS lineups during preseason, but it’s another Raiders’ RB getting more attention. Seventh-rounder Brittain Brown leads NFL with 124 rushing yards in the preseason and should add to that total in Week 3 versus the Patriots. New Raiders coach Josh McDaniels will get to face his former team, and McDaniels always utilized a running-back-by-committee approach in New England.

He’s brought that philosophy over to Vegas, and the same Raiders’ backs that could be popular NFL DFS picks for Friday could also be integral parts of the team’s offense once the regular season rolls around. But which other players should you roster for the final preseason games? Before locking in any NFL DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy football picks from SportsLine’s Jacob Gibbs.

Gibbs uses a data-driven approach that has helped him consistently provide accurate rankings at every position. He has proven to be one of the nation’s most accurate Fantasy rankers in recent years — posting the eighth-most accurate results over the past three seasons, according to Fantasy Pros.

Gibbs analyzes each incoming rookie class in detail and is familiar with the entirety of each NFL team’s offensive depth chart. He also closely monitored training camp reports this summer and has a good feel for which players are poised for a strong preseason performance. If there’s anybody who can give you an edge in preseason NFL DFS, it’s him.

Now, Gibbs has turned his attention to Friday’s NFL DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NFL DFS picks for Friday

For Week 3 NFL preseason games on Friday (where every player is priced at $5,500 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel), one of Gibbs’ top picks is Bills receiver Khalil Shakir. The fifth-round rookie has been as impressive as any NFL receiver in preseason and he ranks second amongst all players with 151 receiving yards. Maybe just as importantly to the Bills, he’s caught all eight of his targets with five grabs in the opener and then three more last week.

Shakir has lined up everywhere for Buffalo, from out wide to in the slot, and he’s also returned punts during preseason. His versatility will keep him on the field and the Bills want to get him reps at all three receiver positions. As someone who is a near-lock to make the team but isn’t a starter, the final preseason game is one in which a player like Shakir could be showcased as the Bills look to see what roles best suit him.

Another part of Gibbs’ NFL DFS strategy is rostering Cowboys receiver Jalen Tolbert, who was the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year last season as he led the conference in receiving yards (1,474), a mark which ranked sixth in the NCAA. Tolbert’s 82 catches were also most in the conference and he left South Alabama as the Sun Belt’s all-time leader in yards per reception (17.6).

In Week 2 of preseason, Tolbert was the Cowboys’ most targeted receiver with four balls thrown his way, two of which he caught for 25 yards. The fact the Cowboys didn’t sign a veteran WR amidst James Washington’s foot injury and Michael Gallup’s slow recovery indicates the confidence they have in their third-round pick. Tolbert — and any other Cowboys wideout — should have a field day versus Seattle on Friday as the Seahawks have given up five passing TDs through two preseason games. See who else to include on your NFL DFS lineups here.

White is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
