Police in Milford, Massachusetts, say a man accused of intentionally disabling women’s vehicles in the MetroWest area has been arrested. Alexander Yee, 39, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home in Winchendon, Massachusetts, Milford police said. “He is the person of interest. He is the person that’s been disabling cars in other jurisdictions, too. He’s been charged with this before, too,” said Milford Police Deputy Chief John Sanchioni.Yee has been charged with destruction of property, but additional charges are expected. He will be arraigned in Milford District Court on Wednesday. Milford police say Yee was on probation for a previous similar charge at the time of his arrest. He was wearing a GPS tracker when he was arrested and at the time of an incident at Target.Milford police said Yee was not luring women into his car for a ride in that instance, but did admit to putting juice into a woman’s gas tank and flattening her tire. “We spoke over the phone. He did make a full confession over the phone,” said Milford Police Officer Patrick Crosson.”The woman was able to drive off with the flat tire and fill the tire back up and went to restart the car. It wouldn’t restart, and they discovered it was contaminated,” Sanchioni said. The incident at Target caused $1,600 in damage to the woman’s car. Police called his behavior disturbing.“His reasoning behind this is he enjoys seeing people disabled,” Sanchioni said. In the past few days, multiple police departments issued alerts about a man who has been targeting the vehicles of young females.Milford, Massachusetts, police said the man in his late 30s was targeting the women by flattening their tires, filling their gas tanks with water, then offering to drive them home. Bellingham police said they were also investigating an incident involving the individual. “It is suspected that he tampered with a vehicle in the Charles River Center, then approached the female owner when she found her vehicle was disabled,” Bellingham police wrote. “Please be vigilant and notify us immediately if you observe any suspicious activity,” Bellingham police said. Holliston police also warned members of their community of the recent incidents. “Over the past week there have been local reports of an individual seeking to disable cars being operated by young females,” Holliston police wrote on social media. “In these situations, the individual may let air from a tire or add a gas tank contaminant, then approach the female to offer help in the form of a battery pack, air compressor or a ride.”Franklin police said the person who was being investigated in connection with the incidents was spotted in their town Friday. “If your vehicle is tampered with or breaks down shortly after starting, give us a call,” Franklin police said.
